Camp Director Announced Camp Virginia Jaycee is proud to
announce the newest member of the family, from Michigan, Camp Director Dana Zyrowski.
She will take her new position starting Monday, February 4, 2008. Dana
grew up in Michigan. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2004
with a BS in Mathematics and Physical Education and an emphasis in secondary education.
She is working towards her Masters degree in Educational Leadership.
Dana is not new to the camping world; she spent 7 years
at Indian Trails Camp, a camp for physically disabled adults and children. While
at ITC, Dana held many different positions ranging from Counselor to Assistant
Camp Director. After graduating, Dana began
teaching 7th grade math. She was at Allendale Middle School for 3 years. Although
Dana loved her job at AMS, she was eager to get back into the camping world. This
brings her and her dog Morgan, to Camp Virginia Jaycee. While
in Michigan, she coached basketball and softball for the school she was teaching
at and played on numerous sporting teams. She enjoys being active and playing
sports. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her nieces and
nephew and dog. Dana is very excited for
what the summer will bring. She is eager to meet the campers and staff of Camp
Virginia Jaycee! | | Vinton
Christman Parade The parade consisted of a long line of floats,
dancers, marching bands and even Santa Claus and his wife! The parade moved through
the town of Vinton; passing a sea of people who had come out to watch. |
We had campers ride on our float which was our hay-wagon & tractor. The campers
loved being up there waving and cheering at the crowd who were appreciative of
the candy we handed out to them and equally as enthused as our campers to be there.
Our float was decorated with the help of our campers,
putting their painted handprints on it during our November Respite here at camp
November 16th - 18th. It also had on it photographs from summer camp, Christmas
trees, stars and Christmas lights, making it a bright and cheerful display. Overall
it was a Fun & Festive occasion for everyone!

Quarles Tournament of Hope is scheduled for Monday, June 4th, at the Culpeper
Country Club in Culpeper, Virginia. We hope that you will join us as we hit the
links for a really great cause! Camp
Virginia Jaycee is located in Blue Ridge, Virginia. It is a facility that celebrates
a mission of service to persons with special needs. Quarles is proud to sponsor
this golf tournament with all proceeds directly supporting the continued operation
of the camp. Last year's
tournament was a great success. We were very fortunate to have generous corporate
sponsors, including S & D Coffee, Holt Equipment, RJ Reynolds, and Jones and
Frank, to provide us with financial contributions to help offset tournament costs.
Many other sponsors including Mark It Plus, Gardner Marsh, Taratin Tank, and Jack
Links have helped make it enjoyable for each of our participants by donating great
items for our golfer gift bags. If
you would like to become an event sponsor, or would like to donate an item to
our golfer gift bags, auction, or raffle, please contact: Debbie
Ouellette at 540-361-4848 (or via e-mail at douellette@quarlesinc.com),
or Dan Desposito at 540-361-4847 (or via e-mail at ddesposito@quarlesinc.com).

join us on June 4th in Culpeper at this year's golf tournament. We are working
to make this event even more enjoyable! Registration forms will be mailed during
the first week of March. Returning the registration form as soon as possible will
guarantee a spot in this year's tournament-remember, last year we sold out quickly! We
hope that you will consider being a part of the Quarles Tournament of Hope.
